Faith Based Counseling Upon Request

Stephanie Walker
LPC-Associate
Counselor Associate
Stephanie attended Oklahoma Wesleyan University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies, and went on to Dallas Theological Seminary, where she earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling. Prior to working as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, she worked in higher education administration for eleven years and in pastoral care for seven years. As a counselor, she has worked in inpatient facilities, church practices, and private practice.
Stephanie believes healing can best be accomplished when approached from a holistic perspective. As a counselor, she integrates various talk therapy approaches, such as person-centered and cognitive behavioral, with other modalities such as nutrition, exercise, and faith. She enjoys working with clients facing addiction, trauma, codependence, depression, and anxiety.
Though life can take us down roads we may struggle to accept, it is through facing those challenges that we find healing and growth. Partnering with a counselor provides the support we so often need to face those hard truths about ourselves and move beyond the pain into the light of new life. Stephanie believes that God is the ultimate Healer, and He uses even our hardest struggles to turn our stories into beautiful works of art that reflect His goodness and power.
Stephanie enjoys spending her spare time reading, engaging in outdoor activities such as walking and bike riding, teaching an adult Bible study class at her church, and playing with her dog, Abby.
