How Rapha Counseling uses A.R.T. in Our Mental Health Counseling and Trauma Therapy

Rapha Counseling is proud to offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) as one of the many methods we use to help our clients work through their past traumas. ART is a type of therapy that has been shown to be highly effective in reducing or eliminating the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is a type of therapy that uses eye movements and other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess and heal from trauma. ART has been shown to be highly effective in treating PTSD, as well as other mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.

How Does Accelerated Resolution Therapy Work?

ART uses visualization techniques and bilateral eye movements to help the brain reprocess and heal from trauma. The idea behind ART is that when we experience a traumatic event, our brains can get "stuck" in a state of high arousal, which can lead to symptoms of PTSD.

ART has been shown to be an effective treatment for PTSD because it helps to "unstick" the brain and allow it to reprocess the trauma in a healthier way.

What Are the Benefits of Accelerated Resolution Therapy?

ART has been shown to be an effective treatment for PTSD, as well as other mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. Some of the benefits of ART include:

- Reduced or eliminated symptoms of PTSD

- Reduced anxiety and depression

- Improved sleep

- Improved ability to cope with stress

- Enhanced quality of life
